Unfortunately, our deployed service members miss a lot of holidays. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t help them celebrate these occasions in some way. Care packages travel around the globe carrying your love and holiday spirit. They let your loved one know that you are thinking of them on these special days.
Anytime my husband deploys, I send him themed care packages for all of the holidays that he has to miss. And Independence Day is no exception!

Pun-ny care packages are my favorite! This package definitely meets the criteria of being both funny and patriotic!
While these care packages are especially relevant for deployed service members, they are great for people away on mission trips, at college, or any long-distance family and friends. And care packages aren’t just for adults, I love sending them to my niece and nephew in Florida almost as much as they love getting them!
I hope these 4th of July care packages inspire your creative patriotism and give you the push you need to get that red, white, and blue package in the mail soon! My prayer is that your service member returns home safely, so that these holidays can be spent together again.
