Even with its ugly, 1970s brown lamp shade, I knew I could make it pretty. After a little fabric, glue, and frustration it fits my decor perfectly now ❤️

Yes.

Was I deliriously delusional (a TERRIBLE combination) and think that all the mistakes I made in the binding were “not that bad”?

Yes.

Did I take a more sober (i.e rested) second look and immediately want to punch myself in the face & light this quilt on fire?

Also, yes.

Fun fact: the Bird of Paradise flower is actually pollinated by birds! When a bird lands on the flower to drink its nectar, the flower’s structure causes pollen to be deposited on the bird’s feet, which can then be carried to the next flower. 🐦🧡

And somehow, seeing one glowing in the evening light makes it even more beautiful 😍
