This was one of our first furniture projects when we lived in North Carolina. We bought this dresser at the flea market there and turned it into a buffet.

In this house (& the one in Texas), we use it as a TV stand. It’s also a charging station for the girls’ phones, headphones, watches, etc. 🔌

Solid wood furniture is always a good choice, this thing has held up so well during our moves!

When I saw this BIG, brass, trophy-base lamp at the thrift store for $14.99 I knew it was coming home with me 🥰

Even with its ugly, 1970s brown lamp shade, I knew I could make it pretty. After a little fabric, glue, and frustration it fits my decor perfectly now ❤️

Did I “finish” the binding on this quilt at two o’clock in the morning?

Yes.

Was I deliriously delusional (a TERRIBLE combination) and think that all the mistakes I made in the binding were “not that bad”?

Yes.

Did I take a more sober (i.e rested) second look and immediately want to punch myself in the face & light this quilt on fire?

Also, yes.

If you need me, I’ll be ripping out every damn stitch on that binding and trying again 😭😭😭
