This boring gray dresser was one of the first furniture flips that we ever sold. I found the plain gray dresser for sale on Facebook Marketplace and knew I could make it pretty again. And it looked so good in green!

This olive green paint is gorgeous! And the gold hardware is the perfect touch.

White

We found this crusty old dresser at the flea market in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I couldn’t help but think that it would make a perfect buffet/sideboard for our living room.

In that rental house, the walls were painted red and yellow, which is why we opted for white. However, now that we’re in a house with white walls, I’m seriously debating giving it another update soon!

This white dresser makeover is stunning! I don’t think you can ever go wrong by adding legs.

Sometimes it’s hard to figure out what to do with ornate details on dressers to make them look less dated. But in this case, painting them turned out great!

Yellow

This dirty dresser was another Facebook Marketplace special I found! We painted it for Lainey’s room and let her pick out a few decorative knobs for it. It took us a several days to decide on the perfect shade of yellow, but I think we nailed it!

This is such a beautiful navy blue color. And it looks so much more modern with the curvy piece off the bottom.

I love two-tone furniture pieces, especially leaving the top with a natural wood finish.

Oh, this looks so much fancier with its two-tone paint job! And it looks much sleeker without the details on the door.

Pink

Pink isn’t the first color choice I think of for dresser makeover ideas, but look how pretty it is!

This is such a pretty pale pink! Plus, I love that they used the original hardware, just in a different way!

This pink dresser looks absolutely beautiful with its new rattan drawer faces!

Black

I always love seeing furniture flippers use unusual techniques, like these embossed doors!

Leaving drawer faces with natural wood is always a great idea!

The matte black paint on this dresser is stunning! Plus, I love that the base and top are wood!

Purple

I would have never considered purple for dresser makeover ideas, but this lavender is gorgeous!

This color purple isn’t my style, but it’s definitely unique!

Red

I went through a ‘paint everything red’ phase for a while and honestly, I still have a lot of love for it. This one is super bright, but I know in some rooms it would fit right in.

This shade of red gives me major rustic, farmhouse vibes and I’m here for it!

Modern Neutrals

I’m usually not into these new ‘modern neutral’ colors, but this one is so rich and pretty!

“Sad beige” gets a lot of hate online, but I think there’s a time and place for every color under the sun. And this beige looks so pretty here!

Natural Wood

If you can save a pretty piece of wood, do it! I love this natural wood dresser makeover.

Just look how pretty the wood grain is without the dark stain!
