We recently PCS-ed (that means we moved, for friends not in the military) and are in a new house! It’s a two-story and the stairs are immediately to your right when you enter the front door. And I am dying to decorate this staircase for Christmas!
I have no clue when we’ll get our household goods. Even if we get them as soon as possible, I doubt I will have the time or energy to unpack the whole house AND decorate for the holidays.
So, for now, I am scrolling Instagram and gathering all the Christmas staircase decorating ideas for next year!
Thick, Full, and Lighted
This Christmas staircase is decorated with a garland that is thick, full, and lighted! Plus, it has red pom poms throughout making it even more full and pretty!
We all know that I am obsessed with Christmas bells (I even wrote a whole post with ideas of how to use them in your decor). So, this staircase with stockings and bells is right up my alley!
I love the rag garland and stars on this Christmas staircase! I appreciate anyone who can stick with a theme/color scheme and the neutrals here are so pretty.
This Christmas staircase has a little bit of everything: there’s greenery, ribbon, ornaments, floral picks, glitter, and feathers! It is absolutely gorgeous!
What I love about how these stairs are decorated for Christmas are the big red bows (and of course, more bells) and the Santa mailbox. What a cute idea!
This Christmas staircase is simple with its modest greenery and blue plaid ribbons, but that Nutcracker at the bottom is definitely an attention-getter!
If you’ve been around the blog long, then you know that I love light and airy spaces. And this Christmas staircase is so bright and spacious. I love how the white ornaments match the light fixture!
I absolutely adore the gingerbread houses on the stairs! It’s such a cute idea and made even more unique by putting the garland and decorations on the bottom of the stairs and not on the railing.
I love the look of this simple Christmas staircase. There’s a mix of garlands with the greenery and the stars, plus she also hung her stockings here which is what I plan to do!
This is another simple way to decorate the stairs for Christmas. Dried orange garlands have been trendy for the past couple of years, but they look especially festive in this historic home.
This Christmas staircase is adorned with garland loaded with ornaments. I love that this one has a mix of all the colors, but you could definitely get a color theme and make it your own.
This Christmas staircase is decorated more simply than the other options. I love the lamb’s ear wreaths with satin ribbon and diamond details. It’s simple, but so fancy at the same time!
I love the mix of striped and satin ribbons on this Christmas staircase! The dark green and champagne colors are such a great color combo for when you don’t want to do traditional red and green.
I love the whimsy feel of this Christmas staircase with its white birdhouses and white pinecone lights. It’s sure to turn your home into a winter wonderland!
This Christmas staircase is already unique by putting the garland on the bottom, but hanging the star and snowflake ornaments make it even more so! It’s beautiful!
