One of the best school projects that I did with my girls was to make a Valentine box to hold all of their Valentines from their classmates. (Here are some Star Wars Valentine Box Ideas.)
My girls are 10 and 12 now – 5th and 6th graders. Which means that I no longer get to do the cutesy class projects.
I was the ‘Pinterest mom’ when they were younger, but that’s apparently ‘so not cool’ for middle- and almost-middle-schoolers.
At times, I miss those creative projects and making them with my kids. So, in the spirit of reminiscing about those days, here are 25 Valentine box ideas for kids!

Unicorn
I made this adorable unicorn Valentine box out of laundry detergent and cereal boxes, empty toilet paper rolls, wrapping paper, curly ribbon, and scrapbook paper. Lyvi loved it!
UniKitty
I made this UniKitty Valentine box 2 years later for Lyvi. She told me the eyes were “a little too big”, but other than that, she loved it too. It was made out of a cereal box and a combination of wrapping and scrapbook paper.

As much as I miss the days of being a Pinterest mom for my kids in elementary school. I’m enjoying the stages that they are in now.
And I can express my creativity in other ways, such as these embroidery state projects or the paper roses that I made out of vintage books.
Plus, I know that I can always help my nephews with their school projects, including DIY Valentine boxes!
