New Year’s Resolutions: August Recap

August was a MUCH slower month for the Harrison family.

We were home for {most} of the month, which was a big change from June and July when we were constantly on the road.

The change of pace was nice. It gave us time to relax and get ready for the new school year. School started back, along with my regular work schedule.

I don’t feel like I made much progress on my New Year’s Resolutions, but something is better than nothing! Here is what I accomplished during the month of August:

Worked on Spanish

This month I was able to work through 2 more lessons on Duolingo. Which is a lot more time-consuming than it sounds. I also did some lessons in my Spanish workbook to get even more practice.

Not surprisingly, my Spanish is getting more fluent and I know a LOT more vocabulary than I did at the beginning of the year. I’m not where I want to be with this language…yet, but I’m getting closer!

Spanish progress for the month of August.

Better Habits: Get More Sleep

I’m not gonna lie….August was a lazy month for the Harrison family. We were finally done with all of our summer travelling and we were tired!

The girls didn’t start school until August 26th, so we spent nearly the whole month sleeping in, taking naps, and just being lazy. And it was fantastic!!!

And thaaattt’s about it!

I was serious when I said that August was a lazy month. And I don’t even feel bad about it. We enjoyed the last month of summer, got ready for school, and just hung out.

It was a much needed break from the busy-ness that the upcoming school year is sure to bring.

Here’s to September and maybe being a little more productive!
