The month of June was so much fun for the Harrison family! Which is why I’m so late making this post…oops!
The girls got out of school on June 11th and exactly one week after that my mom and niece came for a visit. And 2 days after that, we were off to Washington D.C for our redemption trip! The last week of June was spent camping in the mountains.
Despite all of the travelling, I was able to make some progress on some of my New Year’s Resolutions. Here is what I accomplished:
Set Up My Desk/Work Space
Last month, I showed you the bookends that my husband built for me. During the girls’ last week of school I did a little shopping and picked up some things to make my work space more organized (& pretty!).
Although we were gone too much this month for me to get to use it, I’m sure that my desk is going to be much more functional and easier to use without 60 loads of junk all over it!
Spend More Time Outside
This is one of those resolutions that’s really hard to quantify. I mean, I’ve never tried to measure exactly how many hours I spend outside. However, I know that it’s definitely not enough.
This resolution was made as a reminder to get outside and pay more attention to nature. I know that we didn’t spend as much time outside as I had hoped this month, but we definitely spent more time outside more in June than we did in previous months. So, I’m counting it.
Mark Items Off of Our Bucket List
Thanks to summer break, we were able to mark 2 more items off of our Fort Bragg Bucket List this month!
I came into the summer knowing that progress would likely slow down on my New Year’s Resolutions. So, I am more than happy with the fact that I was able to make any progress at all! (I’m even more stoked that I was able to publish this post before the month of July ended. As I considered combining the months of June and July.)
I’ve made it more than half the year and I’m still making progress on my New Year’s Resolutions! That’s unheard of for me!
Even though my progress has been slow, I’m just proud that I’m still working towards these goals. Here’s to the next half of the year!
