New Year’s Resolutions: April Recap

Another month flew by for the Harrison family.

Seriously, HOW is it already May?

April was a busy month, with our oldest daughter starting softball, in addition to the already hectic dance and Girl Scouts schedule.

My husband also came home this month! He had been on a rotation in Washington D.C. since mid-March, so we were more than happy to have him back.

As far as resolutions go, I’m sad to say that I didn’t make much progress. But here is the {tiny} progress from the month of April!

New Year's Resolutions: April Recap

Worked on Spanish Duolingo

I was able to work through two more lessons in my Spanish Duolingo account. Two lessons doesn’t sound like much, but each one had more than 30 activities left in them.

I mostly work on this while I’m waiting in the parent pick-up line at the girls’ school. Every extra minute I can get counts during this busy season in our life.

Lose Weight

I have been meaning to lose weight for the past 5 years and I just keep putting it off. I must admit that I haven’t made this a priority at all this year. However, I have been keeping track of my weight each month.

Strangely enough, I lost 1.6 pounds each month for the first 3 months of the year. Then this month, I lost 2 pounds. Bringing my total loss {so far} to a whopping 6.8 pounds. At this rate, it will only take me 13 years to reach my goal weight, lol!

Seriously though, the fact that I’m not trying at all and my weight is still trending down is a success in my book. Hopefully, I’ll be able to devote more effort to weight loss soon, but until then, I’ll take these tiny victories!

And that’s about it as far as resolution progress for the month of April. I wish I had more to report, but this month was crazy busy. Unfortunately, the month of May is looking even busier than April. It makes me tired just thinking about it, but hopefully I can get a few things accomplished!
